I REALLY wish the news websites would STOP putting articles on the web if they don't want you to read them. Fox, NY Times and others seem to want your personal information just like Google, etc.
If you want my personal information, require me to login to your website... but stop with the false advertising - putting articles on the web, then blocking the content unless I give your my personal information...
And what's with videos now being 'headlines'... seems 'captions' are now HEADLINES. It's bad enough that "headlines" seem to change every 10 minutes... guess vendors like the Times have forgotten what "headline" were.

Tip for consumers:
I don't have a problem with a news business making money... but when they put it out there, they shouldn't try to backdoor into getting your information. If they didn't put it out there on the web, they wouldn't have all these issues with Google, etc. repeating it.
A LONG time ago, people would bring their newspaper into the office break-room for others to read after they were done and the newspaper didn't have an issue with customers sharing... now they want to know who is reading each article

I'm sorry to say that (like Google) Microsoft has ruined their 'search' engines because Bing no longer 'honors' search operators. Now, Bing doesn't even recognize quotes... the parser switches the words around to give the results opposite to the stated query. It's been a while since "-" (NOT) and "+" (MUST INCLUDE) have worked... I've had a few instances where "-(word)" will NOT include 'word' in parentheses in a query... and usually includes 'word' as if the query was written as "+word".
Search engine that don't recognize and 'honor' search operators should NOT be called "search engine".
That should also include all of the other 'search engines' that use Bing and/or Google Search as a basis, like DuckDuckGo, etc.

Tip for consumers:
Still looking for a search engine that 'honors' search operators.

Products used:
None, since most 'search engine' use Google and Bing... ignoring search operators.

So, found an item I wanted advertised for $59.99 online and went to store. They had one (or more) on the shelf (behind locked glass) with a shelf price of $99.99. Looked it up on my phone and, sure enough, says 'online price'. "Lead" at front desk says they won't honor the online price and won't 'price match'.
I can order online for same day pickup at the store, but I can't walk in and buy it at the reduced price. Walmart.com is willing to sell it to me for 'pickup', pay Walmart Associate (probably the same person that they paid to put it on the shelf) to get it and repackage it for 'pickup'... all at a lower price.
This is the second time this has happened to me. After getting home the last time, I cancelled my Walmart account and asked that my personal information be removed from their servers. Unfortunately, over the past month, I've gotten email requests for 'reviews' of purchases I've made - apparently Walmart did NOT delete my information AND THEY ARE TRACKING ME BY MY DEBIT CARD!

Tip for consumers:
When I went to the website (in Walmart) on my phone, like too many other vendors, they pushed for me to install their app. If I wanted it, I'd have it - quit pushing unless you're going to pay me to have it on my phone. Got enough bloatware from phone manufacturer AND phone company!

Still shopping online since I can't walk in and buy at the web price.

Just had a Popeye's open locally. Tried to go online (with PC) to see menu/prices and after setting location, it shows as 'mobile ordering' isn't working... but still won't let me see a menu for web ordering or store walk-in.
The support bot is worthless - only wants my personal information to 'contact me'... doesn't appear there is anyone available for chat support.
Disappointing to say the least, but like too many other retailers these days, they seem to think everyone uses a smartphone and will install/use their app (after giving them your personal information).
Perhaps, one day in the future, I may actually go in the store to get the information that the website doesn't provide.

During a power outage, I looked for a USB fan with my phone, which I HATE when I have PC with 4 monitors, but the power was out. I also have plenty of power 'bricks' for recharging my phone and tablet... so a fan shouldn't be a problem.
First, the website gave me what I was looking for... and the 2nd item is a car plugin, not USB, the 4th item is a wall plug-in fan, the 5th item is battery powered (only),... Guess Target's search engine is based on Google's search engine.
Next, I tried to give feedback, but the 'Feedback' button at the bottom of the webpage doesn't do anything. So I tried the 'Contact Us', but that seems to be only restricted to 'orders'... but they offer a 'chat', which I won't attempt on my phone (I do not text).
Lastly, why do they show 'when purchased online' pricing? What's the price if I walk into the store... like Walmart.com, 20% to 100+% higher priced?

Tip for consumers:
Has minimum $35 purchase for free shipping... fans were mainly less than $20.
Showing the price difference between online and in-store would be nice... so I can decide on 100 mile round trip or shipping...
They really need to fix 'feedback' button!

Seem a lot of articles have been written about the US Affordable Connectivity Program... and Spectrum offering 100 MBPS. Since I've had 20 MBPS for years, I signed up for the ACP program and was approved... have been paying my full bill for 5 months now. EXCEPT, still at 20 MBPS because the 100 MBPS is ONLY for NEW customers. Didn't see that in any of the articles. And Spectrum Customer Service made it QUITE clear that the 100 MBPS offer was only for new customers.
So IF you are a new Spectrum customer and qualify for ACP, you can get the 100 MBPS... until the ACP program runs out and the price will go to $75 per month. (PS. 100 MBPS is currently the slowest rate offered.)

I moved from one apartment to another in the same complex in June and today (7/11) I got a double bill for Internet service. Seems that you have to pay for service in both locations even when you disconnect and move the equipment. The only way around Spectrum's monthly billing policy is to turn off service for up to 60 days, then re-establish service at the 'new' location.
On top of that, my TV service is paid for by the apartment complex and Spectrum had me call their 'tenant' service reps after spending time chatting online... seems that my Internet service is tied to the TV service, making me a 'tenant', but my Internet service is my responsibility - makes no sense - am I a customer or a tenant?

Tip for consumers:
Regularly have screen freezing / pixelation while watching TV and intermittent Internet dropouts (computer usually able to automatically retry).

First, 'Forecast' seems to think I'm 25 miles from lat/log I enter/set. Seems to use cable IP address... some sites think I'm 25 miles away, other sites get it right. Close but no cigar.
Second, has a mix of US and meter 'default' settings and the only way to 'save' settings is to create login and give them your personal information. Wish companies would realize the best way to protect customer information isn't a "Privacy Policy" but just don't collect the information!
Third, use mainly for radar... won't keep the 'pressure' overlay set in saved link and have to re-enable. And doesn't show the pressure altitude - sometimes the 'rain' seems to move counter (clockwise rather than counter-clockwise) to the low pressure area.
Mouse wheel doesn't 'zoom', have to use to + / - buttons to zoom.
