An eleven year employee of Autozone named Al had me wait at the store for 10 minutes to determine if my 1-1/2 year old battery was Ok to charge or was 'toast' > as told to me by the AAA tow driver.
After 15 minutes, he said it was a good battery and needed an hour or so to fully charge. So I went to a nearby restaurant and spent good money to eat while I waited on a beautiful Saturday morning.
I returned to find a bad battery, exactly what I told them that the AAA tow truck guy told me.
Then they said the warranty was invalid because I got it at a prorated price due to the battery before this one went bad early as well, and wanted $250+ for a new one. The AAA driver would have installed a new battery on the spot for $200 but told me that Autozone should give me a free exchange since the Duralast Gold was only 1 year and 5 months old.
Autozone wasted hours of my time, wanted 50 extra dollars of my money, as well as making me wait twice due to their incompetent employee(s).
