The United Kingdom Post Office offers a range of savings accounts and bonds provided by the Bank of Ireland. The interest rates are reasonable for accounts which still allow access to savings but dealing with the Post Office is a nightmare.

Their website is truly 1990s with no auto tab when entering login data and it is down so often that it's never guaranteed that login will be possible. Managing the accounts, as in viewing and moving money is fairly good but trying to open a new account such as a bond using existing savings is a waste of time as their help and advice is out of date and does not match the actual process.

Trying to get in touch with them by telephone is a waste of time as it takes forever to get through and when you do, don't expect any useful help. I spent three days trying to open a new savings bond and when I finally succeeded it took a week for them to even acknowledge my application and then I found that the account hadn't even been set up!

I'm moving my money elsewhere when my bonds mature, even if it means a lower interest rate!

I sell quite successfully on EBay and via my own website but I thought I would try Amazon Seller Central to up my sales figures.

It was the biggest mistake I ever made. The information they wanted was unbelievable and unless you understand the science of logistics and all the jargon, forget it. Then they wanted me to pay them GBP 30.00 per month or else I had no control over how I sold my products. After 6 months they asked me for information that I could not provide and told me they would close my account. I had had enough and told them to go ahead.

In the 6 months I sold with them I sold 2 items whereas, on eBay I sold 50 of the same item.

Amazon Seller Central are anti small business and impossible to deal with.

I have a similar story to most other people on here but with a twist! I am complaining about DXListing which is part of Deal Extreme where they sell products for other sellers rather like Amazon Marketplace. You still deal, or try to, with Deal Extreme and receive the same dreadful non-service. I have had the usual "please be patient and wait" messages but when you are told that the original estimate of 7 - 21 days delivery should actually have read "2 - 6 weeks" you start to lose patience. Not only that but the 2 - 6 weeks are Chinese weeks as they do not include weekends and public holidays so, how long is a week? Is it 5 days or is it 7?

DX stopped responding to my messages when I asked for a refund so I have just filed a dispute with PayPal as it is 42 days since the original order was placed. We'll see what happens but, my advice is; DON'T BUY FROM DEAL EXTREME!

Update: I got my refund so, at least the PayPal refund system worked.
