When you book a ticket with this airline, their own website tells you an amount of asia-miles and status points you'll gain. So you join their club, and you buy the ticket. Then they issue a ticket for which those rewards do not accrue, then they refuse to give them to you or engage in any way in customer service. You don't choose the ticket class ahead of paying for the ticket, the airline does after you've paid. If they promise you the loyalty rewards before paying, they are bound by law to issue a matching ticket which can collect them, but decency and honesty don't matter to Cathay Pacific. They're more interested in quick bucks and finding new people to scam.
