I ordered a textbook that had this statement on the website:
This is an International Edition. This book is brand new and in English. The cover may look different but the book content is 100% the same, page by page and word for word. Printed in original color on high quality paper. Identical to US Edition.
When I received the textbook, this was not the case. The book is different and my son cannot use it for his class. I have been going back and forth with them asking to return the book with no success. I was told to look at a friends book? Very poor customer service! I doubt I will ever get a refund, and I had to repurchase the book in the US Version for his class.
Just to add an update - this is the response that I received yesterday:
You can return but not full refund if you cant point what is different.
Paging on US edition can be page 5 and international page 10. You just need to X the pages to match back.
Or if chapters is rearrange you can easily do that as well. This is how the book works. But the content is always the same unless you bought the wrong book to match another US book.
So apparently when a professor says to read chapter 1, I should know which chapter that corresponds to in the International version.
I am very disappointed in the complete lack of customer service.
