Need boots? DON"T use CA Boots. Horrendous experience! Joey Sanchez agreed to make me a new pair of custom boots to replace a pair that had been damaged. Per his request I sent new measurements, pictures, and payment in full. After several months of not receiving my boots and no response from CA Boots I contacted the BBB and only then did I receive a stock pair of boots. They were not made from my measurements, they were inches off in both length and width. When I contacted Joey he told me that I should try putting them on with a plastic bag on my foot. After several attempts I got an RMA number and returned the boots. Currently, CA Boots still has my money and I have no boots and Joey will not respond.

We offered to help out of our own pocket-The complete story is that we had offered to remake a pair at cost to help her when her dog ate her boots. Wendy was very happy with the boots we originally made for her, however the "damage" was caused by her dog chewing threw the tops. They were $1200 gator boots and we offered to remake the tops for $400 and asked that she send in the original boots back so that we could use the vamps/gator skins and remake the boots offering her a huge discount- the detail involved was $600 boot tops. She sent the boots back and we paid for the labor ourselves and purchased the leather with the $400 she sent in but refused to send the original pair back to reuse the skins. She wanted us to build her a new pair of $1200 boots for $400 AND keep the original boots. This was literally not possible. We had paid for the new tops in leather and labor and only waited for her to send in the skins but she refused. She tried to sue us for the labor and leather that we had already paid for and force us to buy new gator skins out of our own pocket and basically give her a free pair of boot when we tried to help rebuild/repair her old boots. However the judge agreed that she was not within her right to try to force us to make her a free pair of boots and sided with us given that her dog ate a portion of the tops. We tried very diligently to come to an amicable agreement we really wanted to help her repair her boots and that was why we paid for the labor ourselves and she only paid for the leather of the new tops. I am sorry but we are a small family owned craft boutique and we just can not afford to give away free alligator skins. The boots the dog ate were still able to be worn with chewed tops and I guess that is what she decided to do.
