BEST CHAT ROOM EVER! Yes, it was even better back in the days when it was known only as weirdtown, but it is still better than ANY other chat site I have ever seen! I avoid the one censored room because as with any moderators, they are jackasses. I stick to the Adult Room, which has been my home for the past 10 years. It really is like a family! There are even people there that have been there longer than me; and it's awesome that everyone knows everyone, but we are also always open to newcomers. Be ready for anything. Too many clone/troll accounts are present in these chatrooms. They break pretty much every rule and no moderation can fix this awful site. It should be shut down.

I was trying to find a site that reminded me of the good old AOL chat/IM days, with user profiles to browse- this has it all! Easy to use, you can browse online members and see profile write-ups & pics, IM or chat rooms (I prefer IM). Sure there are some freaks on here but where aren't there those on the web! Eventually I've found some cool people to chat with regularly and enjoy it. Some I wonder if they're 100% honest but who cares really. I like it better than YesIChat or Delphi Forums, which Zi also use on occasion- they don't have the IM or profile setups that ChatHour has. Try it and just have fun!

Me and some girl were talking for a few days or I think it was a girl and she wanted me to go on her account for fun post images of anime and what not so i was like why not and she wanted to do the same with me and as stupid as I get since it was already a few days in she goes on my account and changes the email and password and uploads child porn anime to the account and tells me she/he not getting it back to me and it hurt so much this just happened to me been in stress so bad all night and day barely could get sleep, sent a few emails with proof it was my account and they dont ban the hacked account or replies to my email., not only that but if you are female you were get so many abuse from many guys and pedos like crazy im surprise how the website is still running at this point, I hope theres a way to shut down the website, I also want my account back so I can delete it, i dont want my account name stolen and being used like that on the website, Im so stressed out right now I just want support to do something. This site was bought and run by an allegedly corrupt owner who did nothing to police the site from all the things that led to what was becoming, a downward spiral on a limited course.
Too cheap to pay for a tech to enforce the rules, she opts for choosing moderators from the chatroom members to act like they are keeping things in order. That is only when they were onsite, and only when they actually read or witnessed a site violation, or were told of one by another member and they decide to do something, when they rarely did anything claiming lack of proof. A chatter says on their profile that they are 12, age limit is 13, but the mod says they have to see the chatter say it or they need to ask the chatter personally to make sure, because in the mod's words, what people put on their profile isn't always the truth. Really? That is just one example of the ineffectiveness of enforcing site rules with a chat member chosen moderator.
This mod was more concerned about chat huggggggsss and loooools and her chat moms and sisters and all of the chatters who brown nosed her than actually policing the site. And then there was her chatroom hubby who she would openly flirt with and then allowing him to become a co moderator somehow. Then they acted like an unstoppable juggernaut addicted to the power to ban those they didn't like. I won't mention their names, it does no good as she left months ago after a cyber break up with her chat hubby, who took full mod power.
The site was easily hacked by numerous people. It is a 1990's flash program that any hack could get into with little effort. I know this firsthand as I was banned by someone who hacked the mod's account, and banned me for saying "hi lady" in a private message. I think this person was upset because I was chatting with a girl that he was snubbed by. I had screenshots of him basically admitting it as he bragged to others in the room, jumping out of the mod's account before she came back from 'afk'. I showed this to the mod who said it was impossible to hack her account. Really? This hacker was one of her brown nosed chat buddies.
And the whole banning thing was a joke. You just needed to get another screen name and you could be back in 5 minutes or less. The mod would ban a profile pic that wasn't erotic but it just showed cleavage, jealous of other guys chatting to her prolifically and not with the mod anymore.
And then there's the cutesy ways people would avoid swearing by giving it a misspelling or adding a space or a dot. Examples- fu<k, shiite, f. U ck... and the most taboo words skype and yahoo, because the site doesn't want people to leave and go use a more efficient chat client, so merely saying the name was a bannable offense.
The site never progressed into the 2000s, it's demise was inevitable. All because the owner didn't care about it. It was just a cheap investment by someone without a clue.

My son visited a room about gaming. He was approached by a man who claimed to be 15.
