Closed my secured credit card January 4th. On January 24th they charged me a late fee. I can understand a interest charge but a late charge on a closed Secured account that you hold all the money to? Crooks
I do not recommend anyone, they close the account for several transactions with Zelle, freedom is over in America, gentlemen
The last reported profit for US Bank was 35%, while they continue to gouge their depositors. Interest rates on Checking accounts are is 0.005%. So on a $10,000 balance you earn 50 cents per year. On top of that they charge $24.95 monthly maintenance fee ($300 per year). Under certain circumstances they will waive the monthly maintenance fee but if those circumstances change they will not inform you because they don't want you to know since if you did you would immediately close your account and they would lose the $300 revenue stream.
Customers for 20 years. We've had mortgages, auto loans, home equity loans. All paid timely and most paid off early. Recently went through hell wanting to obtain a simple 2nd mortgage to consolidate some bills. For 2 months we uploaded documents they lost them. Confused our loan with another customer. We re-uploaded. They told us we were approved and just needed to add them to our home insurance policies. Like most people in MO we have flood insurance. We had them added. After months of chaos and being told everything was done and they were setting up the paperwork they came back and said they couldn't accept of flood insurance. Why they didn't check that first is stupidly. I would not use this company unless you want to go through hell. If you are buying a home you will probably not get the loan until after the contract expires and someone else has already bought it. Moving all our accounts to a smaller bank that I can do business with instead of emails from a person in NY dealing with underwriters that don't qualify to sell user socks
I have personal and business accounts and credit cards with USBank. I spent many simple hours solving some problems. Here are some examples. International wiring did not go through. Repeating the same instructions, then it did. That costed me hours and multiple trips to the branch office. My online portal did not see my employee credit cards. That took me repeating my problem to five agents on phone to resolve the issue. Each time the agent understood my problem and transferred to another who had no idea. Clearly, this bank has many systemic problems. It is a dinosaur, compared to other banks. Very frustrating.
Have been a customer for 6 years but they just closed my credit card without any notice. They didn't even care to update it
Your set up is horrible. I would like to get to my accounts as soon as possible. Instead it's like a maze to get through and most of the time you spend is hunting your your accounts. You're priority is new customers. Good luck to them. I have mentioned several times to help change things for us your clients but you just don't do a thing to improve it for us. Terrible way to keep your customers.
I was victim of Fraud and they freeze my account for no reason now I can't pay my bills people they scammed me got allot of money and they make my life hard along with US bank it's been more then a week that they did that as my grand father said never put all your money in the bank. I wish I could give them 0 star.
I highly urge anyone considering US Bank to look elsewhere! Even after reading several negative reviews, I thought it couldn't be that bad and still gave US Bank a chance. I was dead wrong! I started the account online, because the local branch is appointment only. Due to additional red tape, my direct deposit couldn't start right away. This made my next corporate paycheck, a physical check. The check is drawn from a well known large national bank chain. When the deposit posted the next day it was not reflected in my ballance. National customer service said a two week hold was put on my paycheck, but said that they didn't know why. I was directed back to the local bank, but you can't talk to anyone at the local bank without an appointment, not even by phone. I made a phone appointment and waited through the weekend, US Bank is closed on Saturdays. When noone from the bank called me for my appointment I sent an emai about the no show appointment. After that a lady from the bank finally called me. While she was nice and explained that the bank holds all paper checks, except US treasury checks, she could not help me. She did however get her manager to call me after hours, the next day. Fast forward yet another day without access to my money. The manager calls, she demonstrated zero customer service experience and had a very callus attitude. Basically she advised that my corporate paycheck had low chances of collectability. The bank would not be reimbursing me for the overdraft fees their "without cause" hold created with my automatic payments and it was not the banks problem that I needed access to my money. She didn't even pretend to care or show any empathy regarding the burden the bank was placing on me. This bank does not appreciate or respect new customers. US Bank has horrible service and sneaky policies. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else for banking.
Don't even bother... gave these jokers a call earlier today and had the displeasure of talking with a rep named "Vince". Just wanted to get some basic info to see what my options may be before I submit to a hard pull. These folks are not very well trained (he couldn't the answer questions I had very well) and they a kind of rude (started to get very short with me after we discovered his inability to answer our questions). Save yourself some time and don't waste it here.
I paid US Bank off with my refinance loan. Then a month later a get a statement that had interest on it. So I want to use my reward balance and as told you can't do that you have to have $25 on there before you can cash them out... I have never had to do that before. I have always just uses my rewards when I wanted. Ever talked to a supervisor she she would not help me eithet
I am so tired of being treated unfairly by all banks in general but my experience with US Bank is the last straw. If I was a man maybe I would be treated better but because I am a woman I get treated like how can she be getting this kind of money. I am trying to start my own business stupid people. But they immediately go to fraud well I got your fraud b****h I thought banks were supposed to encourage you to be better not discourage you. That is why these banks can't hang onto customers they are thinking that everyone is on the take. Well I am done with you idiot's I am doing cash only from now on screw you banks. I hope you catch on someday. Candice
This company sucks, that have being making a family of five have no money that is in the mothers account, but because the first card took two weeks, then didn't work the best they can do is have us wait for a mailed letter to be sent back out to us, so another two weeks. So if anyone can take the time and send them a letter of thanks for the only way to reach corporate customer service I was given this address.

But I'm a little too busy trying to feed everyone that I don't have time to complain in a letter and mail it, and wait for a response, but I wish everyone love and kindness as I pray for things to start coming together.
US Bank made a mistake on my account, so went to the branch and asked them to correct it. They printed a few pages with data from my account and sure thing they found a mistake and corrected it. However, they charge me $75 for "printing 10 pages pages" because they qualified it as an "analytics charge" :-0 If I've ever seen ripoff then US Bank is the essence of ripoff. This is my opinion.
I had an auto loan with them and let me tell you, they are the most incompetent nonchalant liars to ever do business with!
It took two months and 20+ phone calls before they would speak to my insurance agent in order for us to get a payoff and letter of guarantee. Now that the payoff payment has been mailed to them, they haven't posted it and are saying that they hold the check for 7-10 days once received, then post it but they do not notate when it is received. They also tell you that they will mail certain documents to you but they NEVER come. No1 notates the accounts either so when you call back, the next rep is clueless as to what's going on!
If I make a deposit using the USBank ATM, my card and the system work properly.
Today I tried to deposit $300 of quarters rolled in $10 coin rolls with the teller at a USBank. The banker at the counter insisted I give them my drivers license and they wanted to make a copy of it for the transaction. I willingly showed them my license, but refused to allow them to make copies of it for the following reasons:
1. They have no need or right to my drivers license number. They are a bank, not the DMV. They already have my social and home address.
2. They take no responsibility for information if they get hacked an I have my identity stolen.
3. They clearly are NOT customer focused and appear to by trying to compete with Wells Fargo as worst bank in the US.
Unlike normal banks with normal fraud departments that contact you when there is suspicious or unusual account activity, USBank puts your account on hold without contacting the account holder for 24hrs (but really it's 25+ hours because if you, like me, call them, find out what's happening, and then try at the 24 hour mark to transfer funds/pay quarterly taxes they tell you, "whoops, you were early, you have to wait another day again!") rather than verifying with you that you are in fact the person/company making the "suspicious" request and letting you carry on with your business needs. At the LEAST they should send an email and say "This was unusual activity, we're looking into it. If it wasn't you please contact us at x number," but they don't--what kind of "fraud" policy is that!? Their customer service department, though polite, are politely useless, since they have zero capacity to actually contact the fraud department and release your funds.
I would give 0 or negative starts if there was an option. Extremely unprofessional and ill informed customer service reps. Each time you call they provide a different response as if rules change by the day at the bank. I called on Sep 3 to check on my pay off statement as they had overcharged me on my PMI. The rep said they will generate a new pay off factoring in my Aug payment which i made on Sep 1 and it will be generated in 24 hours and will be faxed to my new mortgage provider and emailed to me as well. I called up on Sep 4 to follow up as i hadn't received any email statement. The rep that day said it was a misinformation and they take 72 hours to generate the payoff statement and not 24 hours. I called up on Sep 7 and asked for my statement over email while I was on the call, the rep that day emailed me the statement and when i checked it was the same amount as earlier and they added an extra $20 for the statement FAX charges. When I asked. The rep said the Aug PMI payment isn't factored in until mid September so the amounts are same.If this is the case why didn't the 1st rep i spoke with on 3 Sep tell me that? I wouldn't have asked for the statement to be faxed again in that case and wouldn't have to pay extra charges for the same statement. Glad I am over with them. Not sure how much i need to follow up to refund my overcharged PMI payments. They need to have a log of hwat interactions was done by which rep with each customer else there is simply no accountability and each rep provides their own information per convenience and customer is at a loss.
Chris Colburn was unable to close within 60 days even though he said it would take 2 -3 weeks and now he won't refund my money!
He lied about the process of the loan and upset we went with different company that DID close in 3 weeks
These soft cs reps need some cuddle time. I went through 2 that couldn't do their job, and had to pass to someone else. All I need s was to reorder a business ATM card. I'll be moving to a more competent bank. Usbank sucks.
Answer: U.S. Bank is NOT A SCAM! I've been banking with US Bank for over 18 years, and unlike many banks (TCF in particular... who's process may have changed by now since they got sued over it) US Bank counts your deposits first, checks or debits against your account second. If you know how to use Google, and you can find a branch by you, you will get the help you need. The statements by Joe B. Are insanely false and ridiculous. I have 2 checking accounts, 3 savings account and 2 US Bank Visa cards, I've never had an issue doing what I needed to do with regard to any of these accounts, and if I did have a question, they were easy to reach and always helpful. I am NOT currently a fan of their mobile app as they've kept updating it to a point where bill pay is messed up, but otherwise it has been most useful for transferring money and managing my balances. I've traveled the country and never had an issue getting money when I needed it, or handling my finances. And the bill pay on their website has helped me manage my monthly payments (house, utilities, loans) with ease, which was suggested by a US Bank customer service rep... which until recently, was very effective even through the mobile app. And just for the record, I've been buying groceries (and countless other things) at Walmart for 20 years... guess how I paid for it.:-) In general, over 18+ years, I can absolutely recommend US Bank. And no, I don't work there, I'm just a customer who opened an account there because it was across the street from where I worked at the time.
Answer: At the time, it was convenient because it was across the street from where I worked. I've stayed with them because they have always come through for me. Customer Service is easy to contact at 1-800-US-BANKS. Or you can find a branch where you live at USBank.com. And NO, I don't work there, I'm just a customer that knows how to use Google, the internet, a keyboard... c'mon people, use the hat rack on your shoulders.
Answer: Why are you asking people in a forum?! Call the bank and ask them! Here is a place to start: https://www.usbank.com/about-us-bank/customer-service.html
Answer: I had to buy US Bank checks recently. Two boxes cost me $40.80
