In January, 2021, I bought a Vivi S2,250w 36v 8ah electric bike from Viviebike.com store on Amazon.

I received the bike which was shipped partly assembled. I finished the assembly and as I was going through the documentation, I found a card offering a $40 discount if I wrote a positive review on Amazon.

That gave me pause, but I really liked the bike and for the next several months, I enjoyed riding it. Until one day, I was going up a long hill (not terribly steep) when the motor simply quit working. That began the nightmare of trying to get customer service for this thing.

First, I contacted the seller. He wanted me to send pictures and video and when I did, he wanted more pictures and video. This went on for several weeks, until I finally told him that if it was so hard to figure out what was wrong with the bike, that they should just replace it. Instead, he told me to take it to a local bike shop and they would reimburse me for the cost. Now, remember, this is advertised as having a 6 month warranty.

There were no bikes in my area that were willing to even look at it. So, I told him this and pressed him for a replacement. He refused.

I contacted Amazon since I bought it through the Viviebike.com Amazon store. They kept promising me that they would invoke the A-Z Guarantee, which they never did. They told me on multiple occasions to come back in 48 hours, and when I would, they would give the seller 48 more hours. This went on for weeks.

Finally, I pressed the seller and he offered me a partial $200 refund. Better than nothing, and I was tired of fighting, so I took it. I did however, leave negative feedback on their Amazon site.

A few months passed and the seller began pestering me to change my feedback. I told him that I wanted a new motor controller, because I believe this to be the problem. He told me he would send me one but he never did. He even went so far as to send me a tracking number for a package that was shipping to Texas (I don't live there, lol).

For more information, I've uploaded a video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmgkSIDiA5M

So, in the end, it was nothing but endless nightmares, and I ended up scraping together some money and making an order for an ebike from a reputable company here in the United States. Let's see if they can do any better!

Tip for consumers:
If you order from Amazon, don't expect them to step in on your behalf.

Bought an unfinished neck. In order to make a warranty claim and receive a refund, I had to notify them within 10 days. Of course, when you're building a guitar, you're not always going to be ready to assemble in 10 days.

So, after that, you get 60 days to get store credit. I assembled within 60 days. Of course, to see if the neck was playable, I had to drill into the neck to mount it to the body, and drill into the headstock to install tuners.

What I found was that the nut was poorly cut. Strings were so high that they bent the notes sharp just fretting a D chord (or any other). The neck was actually bent backward, so I put 1/4 turn in the truss rod and the neck bent wildly in the other direction. So, I walked the truss rod back a few millimeters at a time until it looked acceptable. It never was. I've set up guitars many, many times and have never had issues like this.

So, thinking I got a bad one, I decided to return it. But, I had already drilled more than 10 holes into it to mount the tuners and mount the neck to the body.

Guitar Fetish's return policy states,"We will gladly issue Store Credit for all items returned within 60 days as long as they are returned with all original packaging and have not been modified or altered in any way."

So, the catch 22. You don't know if the neck is defective unless you alter it, and once you alter it, you can't return it.

That's really all you need to know. If you're thinking about using Guitar Fetish, just flush your money down the toilet, because you still won't have a working neck, but at least you'll save time and effort.

Tip for consumers:
Read the RETURN POLICY before you order.
