I have been shopping at Wegman's for several years. I always wondered why so many of their employees did not wear any lettering or other indications that they were employees. So today I asked one of them. She said she is not allowed to wear anything that indicates that she is a Wegman's employee. Wegman's does not want her to answer questions from customers, or otherwise engage in customer service. She is given a task to perform and she is not supposed to deviate from that task. I could hardly believe what I was hearing. So much for customer service at Wegman's.
