Bought 3 individual Godiva truffle chocolates of differing flavours from Shin Kong Mitsukoshi store in Taipei. Disappointing.
The outer shell of each truffle was hard, brittle, blotchy and cloudy, suggesting the chocolate was stale or heat-affected or both. The inner cream filling was not smooth, soft or delicate and the 3 individual truffle flavours tasted remarkably similar to one another. Overall, not the soft, smooth, delicate, melt-in-the-mouth experience one expects of a truffle. At $6AUD per truffle this was an expensive disappointment.
