Same happened to me with regard to my parents. On the phone with a service representative I was told they must have a [another!] credit card -- I responded that they already had mine, and had already charged it. I told him they did not need a credit card, that their bosses at the b******* Broadcasting Corporation we're simply telling them so. AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL!

BEWARE. If you subscribe I suggest subscribing via Amazon where you can cancel under Amazons "manage my subscriptions" page. Been trying for weeks directly with BritBox with no success. I have resorted to filing a Visa Cardholder Dispute. Good luck to you!

Don't know for certain, but I know Acorn TV no longer supports Samsung smart TVs as a change in Samsung's operating system makes it impossible for Acorn to update their app. I just spoke to Britbox's office in NYC, and they said they would be supporting Samsung in the near future. I'd recommend you calling before you sign up (if any of you haven't yet) and for those who have, I'd recommend calling and determining when exactly it should be available and how you get credit for the portion of your subscription that was unusable.

I know! It was hard for me too, as I started with Shetland! I watched Vera enough times and found I could understand the accents so much better! Plus, I warched all of Vera's episodes. Then on to Shetland. A double hit of goodness!

Don't you'll be so sorry, they will want the person receiving the gift credit card number to double dip, give a different gift
