How do you live with yourselves with giving out fraudulent information?

Answer:

I too was told by the Hotel I can get a refund due to Covid. However Hotels.com refused. And to add insult to injury You cannot speak to anyone and they do not have an email. They just block you. However if you want to make a booking they answer immediately and if you ask to be transferred to customer service they disconnect the phone call. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY THE ARE FRAUDS. Their reviews constantly are in the 1's and 2's. Someone has to police this company they are unscrupulous! BEWARE BOOK WITH SOMEONE ELSE!

When a hotel booking has free cancellation do you take money from the credit card immediately the booking is made?

Answer:

Yes, it will be charged directly and refunded later unless you book via "pay at destination" which risks in a foreign country that you end up paying more.

I booked a hotel through hotels.com and immediately cancelled it. i was told that the funds would be refund in 30 days which is more than unacceptable. reading your comments i am aware that i'll have to start a lawsuit if i don't get my money ($739.88) back soon. i don't want to wait 30 days and allow hotels.com to use my money in the meantime.

Why it takes so long to confirm my reservation?

Answer:

Usually won't take that long. Better email them without making another reservation. Sometimes their email went to SPAM. Good luck n enjoy your holiday :)

The hotel gave us a local, weekly rate so the advance payment was $214.36 more than the hotel charged. hotels.com said the advance price was correct .

Answer:

That's a lie. You would have gotten a better price at the hotel itself and then you would be able to see what it actually looks like. Alot of false advertising on hotels.com and their sister sites expedia.com and booking.com do not use those sites

Why was your bill higher than the hotels? obviously they didn't give me any other discount than what you should have been able to give. wha'ts up with that?

Answer:

The price they quoted with in US funds! Show a low price that becomes expensive when converted into Canadian funds.

Paid in full no calncellation and hotel doesn't have my reservation called customer service and have to wait an hour to possibly get an email back... when will my reservation be at hotel

While every big n small bussiness are offering REFUNDS OR CREDITS including all airlines, all hotels, all bussiness, HOTELS.COM IS NOT GIVING EITHER! DO NOT BOOK FROM THIS WEB SITE. Their bookings n staff are all completely rude n un knowledgeable. Customer service is hopeless. UNDER COVID EVEN THIS HOTELS.COM is not refunding or giving any credits. I losts hundereds of dollars even when I lost my job. It is sad that while all business are taking hits n refunding or issuing credits this HOTELS.COM IS SQUEZING MONEY OUT OF ITS CUSTOMERS. SHAME SHAME HOTELS.COM FOR NO CONCERN ABOUT COVID 19 REFUNDS
