Fifth third bank is TERRIBLE. No one called be back after at least a dozen messages to different people. It took 4 weeks to transfer money from 5/3 bank to another bank because no one told me to use Firefox instead of Google. Nor did anyone tell me that there is a daily limit on transfer amounts as well as a monthly limit. When I did finally get to speak to someone at the Mandarin branch she hung up on me. Customer service does not exist there. Go to any other bank, Not 5/3 Deborah K.

Worst bank ever they took my son's money and told him tiff luck. Closed his account even though he was the victim scared him for life he will never bank again he stated Yes customer service disrespectful I will pull all my funds out of this bank. Fifth third not minority friendly

I literally have to call every single month and spend over 2 hours on the phone just to pay my auto loan bill. I have never in my life tried so hard to give someone my money. I'd let someone light my face on fire and put it out with a wet brick before I ever bank with them again! Unfortunately, my auto loan has been passed around like a joint at a party and these a-holes ended up with it. Avoid them at all costs!

Don't. Just don't.

They made a huge mistake by not adding me on our loan when they purchased our mortgage. I am now trying to make some financial moves and thanks to their mistake I am losing thousands of dollars. The worst part is you can't get anyone to help you out. I have been sent in circles with literally zero advancement in 2 months. They can't as much as send me a paper receipt via snail mail. Total incompetence.

We have had this bank for years and years and they let scams go through. We are moving all 3 of our business accounts over to Truist. This was the last straw. They sided with a scam website and I had SOOOO much proof and now I am out $124.91. This isn't the first time we didn't get money back on a scam. They let fake checks go through with the incorrect spelling of our company and a signature that wasn't even ours. We didn't get refunded on all of them, but let a legit transaction come in and they block it or question us. If we send an employee to MAKE A DEPOSIT, they deny them. I mean WTH?! We have had another business and our personal account with Truist for 20 years and have NEVER had to deal with the garbage we have had to deal with in 53rd Bank. My husband has finally agreed to pull everything. Beware, you may get the same treatment one day too. I do have a lot of pictures and texts but that has a lot of my information on it. They didn't even have the decency to call me or send me a letter telling me they were giving them the money.
I can tell you this, stay away from this website. https://comfybedsheets.com/ The phone was originally bogus then after I complained and got the bank and such involved it rang I think 6 times and hung up. There is no one at the other end. The email was bogus to as they never answered me when I contacted them. Then I found that the email they used was *******@trendminders.com.

Outrageous fees. Card should be completely closed but dealing with nickle and dime minimal fees that keep popping up….

If I could give them zero stars I would. They have pulled out double mortgage payments two months in a row and it takes 7 business days to reverse it. There is no communication between departments and customer service is terrible. They are quick to pull the money out but can't put it right back in screwing us over and putting our account in the negative. We have 5 kids to take care of and they don't care, even though they are at fault. Do not do business with this bank when it comes to buying a house!

This is a horrible bank. My debit card, which I never used, was somehow compromised. It is now three weeks and I still don't have my new card. Trying to get past their automated menu when they have invalidated my debit card account number is impossible. I stayed on the line long enough to get past the automated, only to get a recording saying they are having technical difficulties! Absolutely horrible bank.

This is the worst bank to deal with, their employees provide you with false information on their days/hours open, what you can accomplish during the phone call, what you are able to do, etc. The online website is a complete and total joke - they make it impossible to sign up, waste hours of your time, charge fees, and are unwilling to help. They are illiterate, unhelpful, and rude.

If I could give a -10 stars, I would this company is the worst company I've ever had to deal with and I wish they would sell my mortgage but instead they keep harassing me and allowing me to make partial payments online and then telling me I'm past due. Forcing me to get flood Insurance when it wasn't required. They are the absolute worst get out while you can't do not deal with them they suck! Fifth third get your stuff together and be better for your customers. I hate you! I will leave this review everywhere I possibly can.

Online banking is simply impossible. "I am sorry but it's generated by the system. There is nothing we can do about it if the automated systems finds suspicious activities". The most common transactions in the US, consulting your account online from outside of the country or a purchase outside of the country with their International card triggers a block on the account. It's only through a lengthy and painful process that you can get your online rights to be reinstated. I have to go through this sometimes multiple times per week!
I used to rave about Fifth Third until this security madness started in October of 2022.
Could not be more critical of a bank service.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. They put a hold on my account while vacationing in London. All reps unable to troubleshoot issue over the phone and kept repeating that I had to go to a local branch. Even after explaining multiple times that I am out of the country, they kept repeating there is nothing they can do to help. I will be moving over to chase bank as soon as I return home. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this bank.

What does "we're here to make your day a fifth third better" even mean?

They bought our mortgage from Sonovus bank in the first month (thanks sonovus)

The website security is awful. Customer support is not 24/7. Cant log in, cant get anyone on the phone to help without waiting forever and when you do, they barely speak english

Scammers use my account more than*I*do! Had $127+ of my social security money ripped out my account this month and they're asking me the dumbass questions! SERIOUSLY? $39.99 twice Taking and $47.11**** Taking ALL my funds out as soon as it hits SATURDAY. Done ***Done & ****** DONE. POS BANK**** KICK*ROCKS*FIND ANOTHER BANK FOLKS. 4 debit cards in one doggone YEAR? IF I COULD GIVE O stars I would!

Whatever you do, do not get a car loan with these guys. They have been terrible to work with. They did an "upgrade" that messed up the payment method we have used for the last year to make our payments with. We went in and scheduled our payment like we always do and with no notice - the payment didn't go through. They charged us a late fee and blamed the bank we make our payments with. APATHY does not begin to describe the "Customer Service" agent attitude. We ended up having to make an ACH payment over the phone. Guess what happened the next month? Ditto!

0 stars for this company. I got a car loan through them which is fine, the interest is not unreasonable for the times. The issue is their website/payment portal is completely useless. If you have a credit union outside of 5/3 bank you can't do automatic deposit. You need at least 2 days to have a payment to go through from an outside bank. So if on Wednesday you want Friday payment because you'll get a late fee on Sunday you are out of luck. The customer service is completely unhelpful. I asked them to send me my confirmation information on a payment to either my loan inbox or email they "did not have the ability " to do so, which is boggling in the 2022. Like you have a company email, you can screencap if for whatever backward reason you can't save basic information/ documents. I got an nsf from them and my bank because **I ** supposedly processed two payments back to back, despite only submitted 1 payment. This place has been such a garbage bank that I decided to just shell out the 30k and pay off my god forsaken loan. Except today was the withdrawal date I set up and behold money still in my account. So I go to my ledger, and "history requirement " is listed there. What in the world that means I don't know. No one has called and there are no messages in my inbox or email about this, or if they want to confirm that I am allowing that payment- which would be reasonable. Instead silence. I guess hoping I wouldn't notice so they can continue to charge me interest and hopefully get a late fee out of me. Absolutely do not recommend. Worst institution I have ever used.

I scheduled an appointment by phone for a HELOC on my mortgage Friday at 4pm. Received an email notification confirming the call, however, nobody called. I double checked to see if I left the correct number and everything was correct. So then I scheduled a call for the next day Saturday at 12pm and the same thing happened. Nobody called. Obviously 53.com is a joke and don't care about their clients.

Being cheated on has been a nightmare that I wouldn't wish on anyone. I felt helpless and stupid for falling in love in the first place. I've been with them for years but the service lately has been abysmal. First the customer service agent lied about the merchant having to cancel an automatic subscription instead of the bank just stopping paying them at my request. Then I missed a payment and they cut off my credit card without warning even though I was still way under the credit limit. All of this without a warning and while my card status was Active according to the website. The worthless CSA told me I would be able to use it again after making a payment but six hours after paying my bill from my checking account, my card got denied again. Absolutely humiliating and very inconvenient.

Worst bank I have ever dealt with! Phone tree that keeps you on hold for 30-60 minutes before telling you the call center is closed and to call back later, representatives that pick up and have no idea why you are calling despite having to repeatedly entire information in the phone tree, unhelpful and borderline rude customers, 6(!) business days to respond to an email.

Ultimately, my mortgage loan was sold to them and I so wish I could have it sold again. Now I am trapped. Please! No one knowingly should do business with this company. Right now I am fighting to have them pay a property tax bill from my escrow account which I have paid every month.

Took a check drawn on 5/3 to cash. Yes, I have a bank but was driving by 5/3 and thought it would be easy to drop in, shown them my ID and walk out with the money. The teller then told me she would cash it for a fee but could not tell me how much "until she got in there". Needless to say I still have the check and will be heading to First Horizon!

Blocked my card because it was stolen, and they transferred all the subsequent purchases made to my stolen card to a new one. VERY UPSET AND FRUSTRATED WITH THIS BANK! Wasted hours on the phone to get nothing done. They kept transferring me from representative to representative. Going to their branch this week to close my account.

I have been disputing a charge for 6 months. Back and forth back and forth. I am giving up. It's $134. Luckily for me it's not more. I finally reached my limit. So, I will soon be closing my account. I do charge 6 figures on my card yearly. You would think they would try a little harder to keep my business.

I have an auto loan with Fifth Third Bank that I secured 2 years ago. I have never interacted with them previously. I actually just set them up on auto pay and forgot about it. Due to some issues with my vehicle and a potential for a buyback by the manufacturer, I had to request a letter showing payments and interest to date. The letter had to be on company letterhead. I looked on the online portal, but it only goes back 3 months. I need 2 years data. So, I called the bank. I was told they can either mail or fax the document. I haven't really thought about faxes in 10 years, but since i want to get things moving i selected that option. The person in customer service told me he just faxed it, while i was on the phone! Amazing I thought, great service. Now where do my company faxes go. I found out they go to my assistant and nothing had come. I called back to the bank and was told that this can only be sent via snail mail. To add insult to injury, it will take 3-5 days to mail the letter which means 7-10 days until I receive it. I asked to speak with a supervisor thinking there has to be a way to expedite things. Nope, there was no flexibility and the buck stopped there.
Bottom line; i wouldn't recommend this bank to anyone. They aren't responsive at all. In fact, I didn't even get any information from them about my loan. I just had to call and figure it out. There was no payment book or even a welcome letter. If you are considering a loan through them, don't do it. You would be better off dealing with a more modern bank.

I would skip right past them to another more modern bank
