My credit score is 700. I have many cc and use less then 20%. Capital one will not increase my limit nor give me another card after having them for 4 years. I haven't used my card in 3 years. Today i went to use it and they froze it for fraud. No big deal, right? Well, after confirming its me, through two emails and a text, my card is still frozen... 😅 I called the little man gave me the run around and asked personal info 3x -- I answered twice but on the 3rd question I refused to answer. I asked for someone else. He threatened it will take longer and I'll be on hold because to high call traffic amd they only will help someone with "good attitude"--- It was 5am and I'm trying to get gas.

Capital One - Not a good bank if you do not have a local branch. I needed to drive 2.5 hours each way to a branch because they cannot operate in the 20th century. Beware, shop local avoid them if you want a hassle-free experience.

WTF - I had purchased 2 tickets along with purchasing 2 seats through Capital One Venture Benefit site only to receive an email confirmation from capital one with no seat selections. I waited to see if maybe the seats just a took a bit longer. I then received another email confirmation; this time from the airline showing my flights and goes on to indicate no seats has been selected. I then have to go to the airline site and select seats and pay for 2 new seats. I call capital one to get a refund for the seats I originally purchased only to be told I have to wait for the charges to post. 2 days later the charges post I then call capital one again only to be told they spoke with the airline and because I didn't dispute within 24hrs I would not get a refund. This makes no sense. Capital one is now contradicting themselves. I explained the information I was given the 1st time I called they then proceed to send me to the dispute dpt. I talk with someone guy who says his name is Ben only to get hung up on. So disappointing. Capital One - do better! Stop stealing your customers money!

Been using Capital One credit for over 10 years and always paid my dues, I had one hardship and was put one a program until I was able to repay my debts which was $379.56, The worst decision was to ask for this program, I didn't want my credit to go down, So every month until I paid them back, this company reported to Experian, I was derogatory in my payments and my score went down even when I was paying the minimum they gave me to pay, Long story short, I paid them off and closed my account! Never again will I accept another offer or give a 5 star rating to this company, I was highly disappointed and I learned a hard lesson, never trust people you never met just because you been paying on time, hardship mean low credit scores from this company and bad reporting even when you ask for help, just don't ask! I seriously truly hate this company

App sucks

The new app ( at least one year) is awful. It never remembers me which makes me resign in with new password change which is a hassle and NOT convienient. When i turn on security measure to draw a password it never shows it first.NOT convienient. I had zero problems with old app. Whoever decided to change to this new app should b demoted to complaint dept!

This shopping portal was called Wikibuy before Capital One bought them. They are horrible. They promise referral bonuses and then make excuses not to pay you. The shopping rewards that you receive for online purchases are a joke. It will take you forever to get to a lousy $10 to redeem the rewards and even then you will only get a gift card for a limited number of stores.
Avoid this scam site.

So I made the mistake and opened an credit card account with Cabelas which is with Capitol One bank. I am on disability and choose this card to get points on purchases thru Cabelas. I set payment up thru my bank account and accidentally picked a closed account and realized what I did and corrected, called Capitol One and explained that to them and the thanks I got for that is my available credit is now placed on hold for 5 days now. I do not like being treated like a secondary citizen for an honest mistake that was corrected before my payment was late. Capitol One is to big for thier pants and could CARE LESS ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS. You must have to a millionaire for them to ACT LIKE THEY CARE.

They charge a Cash Advance for using credit card for my car. I went into GTE to pay my car payment and they charge me 16.00. I paid my car and the 16.00. Now there charging me thousands of dollars as a cash advance. This is not right. I pay my bill ever month on time. Now i have to pay for them buying American Express to..

Asked to have help mayby either settling for smaller amount or reducing interest due to hardship. Got no help. Asked to do due date change they would not do it. They wouldn't even let me talk to a manager.

So, I have $35Ok in a savings account with Capital One, two checking accounts and three credit cards. I have zero balance on my cards and pay in full every month whenever I do use the cards. I signed up for "no fee overdraft", although I have never had an overdraft EVER. When it was offered me, I figured "why not"? Well, as luck would have it I made a payment to another card that showed as debited from my Capital One account, but it weirdly was put back into the account the next day (which I didn't notice at first). After paying all my bills, I left $800 in my checking and moved the balance to my savings. The payment I had made hit again, and Capital One did not honor it. I called, admitting my oversight and asking what happened to my no fee overdraft. Well, that's at their discretion I learned, and (get this) because I had NEVER had an overdraft, Capital One did not honor the $700 overpayment, even though had signed up for overdraft and have $350k in a savings account with them. Wtf? I said so really I don't have any overdraft protection, and was told I do... It's just at their discretion. So I closed every account and went to a credit union.

I tried to log in from another state to pay my bill and they'd only verify me via a home number I have on file so my payments was late and they wouldn't wave the fee. Now I owe late charge due to their system that doesn't have secret questions and email options for recovery. Let me add that if you don't pay by 8pm on the day your payment is due it's considered late as opposed to every other cc company that goes up till midnight (,Days sint end at 8pm). Ripoff shyster company designs it's policies to bleed the consumer

I have 2 accounts with capital one for about 6 months, one secured and another is not secured. I have been takin care in order to fix and improve my credit. But today I entered to the app and surprise, they both were closed. They did it the same day I pay the monthly payment.
The reason, nobody had been able to explained to me. I just regret being trusting to this company.

Great card to start building your credit. They upped my credit limit from 300 to 1800 after around a year of responsible usage. The Quicksilver card is also amazing, if you can get accepted.

Chat box infuriating.

Capital one insists on using chat boxes that cant solve problems. I wanted to negotiate my membership fee. The bot did not recognize my creditvcard number either verbally or keypad then hung up. I tried different methods to reach someone that could help. Same bot. Finislly i called banking received a person they transformed me over to credit card. By this time i no longer wanted Capital one Cards. So it took me another 30 minutes to cancel the cards the rep was nice but had no power to do anything but read what was on her screen. I closed both accounts and want nothing to do with Bots or Capitalone one. Btw the website wont let you cancel cards. So it takes 5bminutes to be approved and 2 hours plus 2 weeks to close. Cheats

Add on interest fees!

Paid off amount due of 6000.+ before due date to CAPITAL ONE. Folliwing month received bill for interest accrued from prior billing month, there was no charges Interst was on amount I paid in full. Apparently need 2 billing cycles until acct actually paid in full. So if I did not pay the second bill with the interest in full or did not see it, thinking my account was paid off,I would continue to accumulate interest on top of that interest. I have not had that issue with my other credit cards. How can I get ahead with company policies like this? I did speak with a supervisor who just kept repeating the policy to me and would not do a one time waive fee as apparently, that is not in their policies.
I will close this card, so read the back page,small print, there are better companies to deal with. I am very disappointed with Capital One!

Credit card Nightmare

Horrible, I Was not informed I had a fee on my credit card and they never reached out since I never used the card. Ended up having a fee of almost 200$ for a card I never used and all because of member fee. Do better people reach out and prevent this to happening to others. I thought you take care of military. No excuse for not reaching out to me about the balance, you had my contact information. Not being active is not an excuse. I never complain or get angry but something small like this has affected me financially and mentally

I got an email that my account had suspicious activity. When I called someone who barely spoke English answered. When I tried to explain my situation to the rep, he could not understand me and I could not understand him. After ten minutes of our noncommunication, he told me my account is now closed. I called back today and talked to someone who does speak English, he said my account has had an internal review and is now closed. No explanation, no review of what the non english speaking rep said about my account. Just one huge hassle dumped on me when I have no time to change all of my automatic debits. So if you want to deal with reps that you cannot understand and they cannort understand you then Capital One is for you. Otherwise, I would pass.

Capital one always has some bs going on when you call them about a problem. I closed my account years ago for this reason but recently got sucked back into them. How you make a payment on a credit, it gets deducted from account,then they tell you you have to wait 4 days to use YOUR FUNDS

Worst credit card company and banking service I would never recommend doing business with this bank they are noncaring and all they care about is money and not the customers. Warrent # IDQB524 as the manager is very unprofessional and does not know how to handle situations he's very unprofessional and treats people like garbage
