These rip off scam artist convinced my wife she was booking directly with motel and advised her she could cancel at anytime. We canceled 15 mins later but they refused to refund charges. The hotel even called them to confirm cancelation but they still took money out of debit card. Went to bank and filed fraudulent charges against them. NEVER USE THIS SERVICE.

The Hotelreservations.com website mislead me to believe that I was communicating with the hotel I was trying to reserve. I should have been more careful. By not double-checking, I paid a HUGE premium over what the booking should have cost me. I felt cheated and ripped off, paying too much in taxes, hidden fees, and the reservation itself. In short, I paid $188.10 for a room that would have cost me $126 had I spoken to the hotel directly. Hotel Reservations LLC promised to refund the fee, but they never did.

I booked a business trip to Orlando, a flipping hurricane came so I canceled 48 hours ahead, guess who still was charged? This site is a joke and it's not worth the $20 you save vs going direct.

So this site is awful. Booked me on the wrong date since it was after midnight. I cancelled 1 minute later. No refund

I actually thought I was booking through the hotel directly and anticipated paying $134.00 to stay at a very nice hotel while we visited the Mayo Clinic to get a second opinion regarding my husbands Pancreatic Cancer. It was the last thing I needed to find out I had been overcharged. I ended up paying $190 for the night. Sadly if I hadn't been misguided to their site this hotel offers reduced rates to cancer patients at the Mayo Clinic…shame, shame on you Hotel Reservations there is a special place in hell for companies like you.

This company booked us at an all-inclusive resort in Jamaica on April 13th 2022, when we arrived, we were turned away because one of our kids was under 18. Our reservation clearly showed that we had a child in our party; however, when hotelreservations.com was contacted, they said there was nothing they could do and left us stranded in Jamaica without another hotel. We wrote to the resort about our experience, they refunded the $7,200 paid for our vacation to hotelreservations.com however, the company has yet to provide the refund and keeps finding one reason after the next for not doing so. We have written and called on multiple occasions, each time you are on hold for almost an hour while they speak to some team in the background. They then come back on tell you to wait 3-5 days for funds to hit account, but then send you an email to say they are sorry, but they tried to get a refund and couldn't. It is a complete scam which has now left me seeking legal representation to recover. Don't ever use this company.

They overcharged $30 for the room, added a $19.99 booking fee that was never authorized and pressured my wife into booking by telling her its the last room and you can always cancel and get a full refund. We did cancel and they refunded the overpriced room charge but said the $19.99 booking fee that we never authorized was non-refundable. I called the credit card company and they are reversing the charges. There total would have been $156.41 and we stayed at the same hotel for $106.34 by booking direct with hotel

Hotel room booking. Be sure you know you are on the actual hotel website. Hotelreservations.com scammed me out of $446 from my debit card. They refuse to refund the charges. I'm going to have some hot checks for bills this month. Yes I contacted my bank.

Made a reservation 2/28. Hotel in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Rates posted in Canadian dollars, although booking service operates in U.S. funds. Room rate as booked was for $127 plus taxes of 17% on top. To that, add the booking fee of $20 U.S. Charges debited to my card (in Canadian dollars) were $248 for room and $26 for the booking fee = $275 (rounded). Surprised, to say the least. Made cancellation request, which was acted upon quickly and refund came... for $232. Why so? Called March 6 and spoke with rep.(Monica). She explained that they refunded the room charge of $188(rounded) showing in their system and, with exchange, that came to the $232 number. The other $26 is their booking fee of $20 U.S. rounded up to $26 CDN. And that's non - refundable. I could not convince "Monica" that the $232 refund should be $248, which had been the initial charge. As well, there was no recognition of the fact that the hotel rate was $127 plus taxes of 17% = $150 CDN (rounded) at a currency exchange premium of valuing the U.S. dollar about 25% more than the Canadian dollar. $150 CDN is about $111 U.S.
Glad to be out of this. Won't ever use the service again. Buyer beware.

This company charged my card without my knowledge 33 days before my reservation. A blizzard covered Buffalo and due to travel bans and road closures we were unable to make it to the hotel. They refused to credit my card, however, wanted to give me a pay pal credit? Filed fraudulent charges with my credit card company and blocked their company from ever being able to charge my card in the future. Be careful they copy the banner of the actual hotel website. Don't book on line anymore just call the hotels directly they usually match the price anyway. Plus they don't charge your card early and you can cancel anytime. It's a shame the internet has become worse and we are reverting back to the 70's

Booked a hotel stay. A second after booking realized I entered wrong checking date. Called number provided in confirmation to extend my stay. I was charged more than I saw in site. Told I could not cancel. I called again told to buy protect and follow steps in link. Agent said he would ccl my stay. I followed steps on protect site. Said.my stay was camcelled and received message that voided my protect plan. I am out $210 now. I would advise not to use. I will never again. All I wanted to do was to correct my error. Had to make another reservation with another place.

I tried to book a Canadian Hotel, from Canada, was charged in US funds, I cancelled 5 minutes later, was charged over $30 as a fee. Crooks, will never use again

Their agent booked a non cancellable room inspite of a specific request for a cancellable reservation. Another agent booked one night instead of two nights, which we discovered only when checking the confirmation. Avoid this company at all costs.

As many noted here, I thought that I was booking directly with the hotel. This company charged my credit card $33 for the booking although they did nothing. This was for a business trip and when I contacted the hotel because I did not receive a receipt, they said that since it was not booked directly with them, they could not give me a receipt. That HotelReservations was suppose to send me a receipt after I checked out. When I contacted the HotelReservations, it was like talking to a robot. I requested a receipt and they said it would take 24 hours to send it. They were suppose to send it after I checked out of the hotel, but did not do it. I will ensure when I book in future that it is not with this fraudulent company that charges $33 for a booking yet does nothing for the fee. If I could give them less than 1 star I would, but you have to give a rating so I gave the lowest possible.

I didn't realize I wasn't talking directly to the hotel and received a bunch of crap from these guys to try to change it!

I made a reservation for a Motel 6 for July on the phone. The number I called was *******090. The next day I noticed two charges on my Visa. I thought that I was talking to Motel 6 when I booked. The website implied that I was booking with them. The operator implied I was talking to a Motel 6 operator. They quoted a room fee which was higher than that which was posted but I accepted. The next day, I noticed both the original charge and a second administration charge on my Visa statement. The second charge was $19.00 for "administration" I was told when I called to cancel. I realized then that I had not booked with Motel 6 directly but with this reservation agency. The man did not tell me when I booked about an administration charge. Absolutely not. A day later, when I cancelled the reservation I was told it would take 7-10 days to get the refund. As for the second administration charge - they are keeping that. There was no mention of an administration charge when I booked the room and was constantly assured that I was booking with Motel 6 when I booked the reservation. This company is dishonest. Avoid doing business with them.

Big rip off off... never use this service they over charge! Never listen to customer. No support for changes to reservations.

Recently I booked a hotel through them (by mistake) and I had to cancel the reservation due to unforeseen circumstances. These people charged me $14.99 as service fee although while booking it says free cancellation. I tried calling them but no response. Completely FRAUD people. Never use them
