A remarkable team of individuals with the sense to cooperate and listen to the clients which most of the company representatives ignore to obey. Thanks to Professional Web Experts for guiding me throughout the process of E-commerce website design and development. 98 on 100.

I would give PWE a 0 rating except that the website PWE designed is good and the functionality seems To work as intended. But the process and the people are the worst with whom I have ever dealt. The website was not finished until 2 weeks after the initial promised date which made me miss Having a website at an important showing of my works. The process and communication required to accomplish the development were horrific. If you use PWE be certain to get every activity, cost, schedule, and deliverable in writing up front. Make sure You ask specifically about any additional activities, deliverable and costs that might be required up Front or you may be surprised later when they say the activities and deliverables you want are extra. Ask to review the dashboard before the website is finished, because they will not provide it until after Website Go Live. You also will not have administrator access to the dashboard as it is hosted on a Shared server. PWE promised me administration access and cPanel, for which they charged me an Additional $559. But they only delivered the FTP and not the actual cPanel GUI. Be sure to ask about migrating your dashboard to another server, it is $500 they do not tell you about, Up front when you sign up for their hosting. They say they are customer oriented, and maybe my experience was an outlier, but my experience Was one of dealing with the worst organization I have every encountered. In my opinion, PWE is not The kind of organization I could ever endorse or recommend. When they do not deliver, they stall and rebut and accuse the customer of being difficult and not Understanding the process or deliverables. Make certain you know Word Press up front or you will be lost. PWE provided a non-narrated 44 minute Disjointed training video. I hired a Word Press expert who explained in 2 minutes what PWE could Not in the 44-minute video.

I hired Professional Web Experts to add several features to an existing website which they eagerly said they could do. After filling out their basic project requirements form and being promised 1 on 1 meetings with my project designer there was very little communication except via email usually initiated by me.

They first misinterpreted my requirements to work on my website, and instead began designing a brand new very basic "canned" website. Do to the poor communication I was very confused as to what they were doing at first. (I thought perhaps this was some concept designs for my site)

Next they were moving so slowly that I actually completed one of the tasks they had been assigned (hey less work for them at the same price) After five weeks of doing nothing I had requested, I questioned if they were even capable of working on my WordPress website, which they said they could do. At this point gave them access to my Dev website and they quickly installed one paid WordPress plugin, and never provided the registration information so I can't use it on my production site.

After an additional three weeks of access on my Dev site their developer did nothing else besides the initial install of the one plugin (5min of work).

PWE issued a full refund, and offered ~$1200 in compensatory services after I severed my business relationship with them. So I have bumped up this review by two stars since they did appear willing to remedy this mistake by their employee as best they could.

I contacted Professional Web Experts to help me develop an existing Squarespace Website/Domain I had for a Children's Swimming Project. I am fairly proficient with Web Design and an expert in using Design programs like Adobe Photoshop. But, I wanted to see what a real Professional could do to drive sales through a sharper Website. The initial cost was supposed to be $199 so I didn't think it was too much risk. I supplied the exact way I was hoping for the pages to look from background colors, verbiage, photo and video placement with well drawn out pages in Photoshop. One month later my site was done and it looked essentially how I wanted it. That is when the nonsense started. At that point 'David James' explained that the site they had made was for Word Press. That wordpress was far superior for many reasons to Squarespace template and would be much less expensive for me and result in much more traffic, sales, etc. also, if I didn't go with Wordpress, we would need to start over. The way he made it sound, it was as if I could just use this Wordpress template on my existing Squarespace account. A month went by. And then I was informed that I would need to buy a hosting platform VPN. It would cost several hundred dollars but would be far superior to what I had. A month went by and then it was you will have to transfer over the domain from Squarespace to another hosting network and it will cost a few hundred dollars but it will be far superior. Meanwhile, I make Children's swimming items and we are well into summer at this point... another month goes by and by now 'David James' will no longer answer my calls or is at a funeral or etc... and I am referred to someone else. They inform me that in order to publish my site I will need to buy an SSL Certificate and it will cost a few hundred dollars and if I don't then he cannot help me. What should have taken a week and cost $199 now cost over $1000 and 6 months later was finally published. But... that's not where it ends. After all of that... I have never, ever, received a single order or even a message on that site other than 10's of junk mail I receive every single day. And guess who will not return my calls and messages? My advice DO NOT WORK WITH PROFESSIONAL WEB EXPERTS. Their whole business plan is to upsell you things like VPN Hosting, SSL Certificates. Etc. I have another business which is unrelated. I have a simple Squarespace Website I created myself. I put one page on that site dedicated to this Childrens swimming product. I receive a constant stream of orders from that page. I have much higher SEO than I have from my entire website made by "The Professionals", and I receive 0 junk mail.

Now you will see on the professionalwebexperts.com website a "MONEYBACK GUARANTEE" hahaha... more like a guarantee not to return your calls, emails, or messages once you ask for it.

Started off with them to edit 1 website. They promised everything was no problem. They were plenty nice. Then I decided I would have them rebuild a completely different website because they seemed knowledgeable enough. Every phone call after the initial phone call was an upsell. Hey you need this ($1000), and this ($1000) and you need to be PCI compliant ($1500), you need a custom dashboard ($1200). Then they try scare tactics about your website getting hacked or credit card information stolen in order to get you to buy. Once I refused PCI compliant stuff they sent some bogus form to sign that says they are not responsible if CC information is stolen even thought my site doesn't store CC information because it goes through paypal. Because I refused most everything ( I did purchase SEO work from them, that is another story...geez) that made the guy mad. He then proceeded to send me text messages telling me I wanted everything for free and then telling me he didn't want to work with me anymore. Then said he would have there lawyers speak with me. After the release of my new rebuilt website all I see was errors. This was not as custom built as they said, this was a general template that they used and just plugged things in. There was still Lorem Ipsum text, statements that didn't make sense about my products, pictures were (and still are) scaled incorrectly. Weird double categories, pictures of things that were not mine and so on. They were supposed to transfer all the accounts information from the previous website users and were unable to do that. Now I'm telling customers to make new accounts. At this point I wanted a refund for the first initial site I wanted them to just edit that they were paid for in February. It is now May and they STILL have not refunded my money for work they have not even started. I had to call my bank and ask for a charge back. My impression is that they are a middle man. They might know what they are talking about but the work itself is farmed out to much cheaper web developers so they have little control. Their job is to sell and they are relentless with the upselling and scare tactics. You can hear others in the background when you speak with them.

Regarding the SEO work I purchased from them...lol...of course they promised they would direct all kinds of traffic to my site. They were like, "you're going to be processing thousands of transactions after we're done"...lol...my website is like a ghost town. The only traffic is sees is regular customers and when they come in and fix something. I could go on and on about how awful this has been and there are other things that I could talk about but you get the idea. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

You would have better luck finding someone on Fiverr for less money to do the same work.

I just want to add that the positive reviews are obviously fake. Pay attention to the most recent reviews. Those are the same experiences I had plus some.

I'm editing to add that I just found a problem where wholesale customers can't check out. I told them about this issue and it's still not fixed. They also have a different shipping price than I had told them and customers are paying too much. Also, I'm having to pay someone else to fix all the things they screwed up.

Last edit to say that after disputing the charge with my bank the bank has refunded my money. It was a shame they couldn't just refund the money and I had to go through that. Lastly, I noticed a lot of "new" 5 star reviews that appeared for them. I'm calling B.S. On all of them, check the dates on them.

Tip for consumers:
They were pretty new at the time I visited but know that their site looks good, their service is awful.
