With a credit FICO score of 825 prior to applying for a Wells Fargo credit card (it's now 818) I was declined. I was told that it was information contained on my Experian report, yet my credit is excellent — this is the same bank with dismal on line consumer reviews that was fined billions by the federal government for engaging in fraudulent customer service charges. Everything with regards to this complaint was a form of deterrent from any such complaints. I have been on the phone for more than an hour. Last person was a foreign representative Joann and the case number is **************
I think I was declined for reasons other than my credit score and consumer decency. This bank is dishonest to the core.
Tip for consumers:
This bank needs to be fined again for discriminatory behavior.

I purchased a floor mat at WS on line and a few hours later cancelled the order and was told I could not cancel // but I never received the item or anything anyway -/ had to call them five times and by law you have 24 hours to change your mind even if this weren't a truly abusive retail attitude —
I purchased a floor mat at WS on line and a few hours later cancelled the order and was told I could not cancel // but I never received the item or anything anyway -/ had to call them five times and by law you have 24 hours to change your mind even if this weren't a truly abusive retail attitude — what an awful place! You can't cancel hours later $152.00
Really? And they dispute my dispute with my bank? Just awful awful will never shop there — so I have to eat it?
Sears appliance repair tried to scam me.
This below constitutes a letter to the "technician" who is in on the bait and switch scam with Sears Appliance Repair.
You were five hours late! I waited from 10:00 am. As I received a text he would be there at 10:30 am (For an 8-12) he didn't make the 10:30 am. The ETA estimate kept changing (and i have the texts to prove it) up to 1:49 pm and he finally showed up at around 2:30 PM. His messages kept stringing me along —
So here's the scoop. The washer is working perfectly yes after I fixed it with Wd-40 (see video and photos) on what I knew already was the issue: the top loading washing machine door lid mechanism -/ you're misrepresenting repairs to consumers, in my case to the tune of over $400 — this was a simple lid lock issue which I corrected with W-40 -/ you did nothing except tell me the repair cost was over $400 plus and then try strong arm me into accepting — through a Sears phone lying representative — this "discounted" home service agreement under false pretenses this "home service agreement" which costs $700 a year— so how can you expect anyone to believe you after waiting for you to show up stringing me along for five hours seriously how can you expect anyone to believe that you're not going to abuse them with this home service agreement? You showed up five hours late late just to scam me -/ you're preying on the ignorant and the elderly, I'm sure, and I'll report you to the State Attorney General and consumer affairs. You CANNOT DO THIS. I want my extorted $50.00 after having me wait five hours so you could scam me with many responsibilities to attend to which is just awful — to try and scam me after waiting five hours for you to show up for a service that Sears subcontracts —DISGUSTING.

The dispute mechanism is a complete sham and intended to dissuade the consumer from using it — you're better off not shopping on line because businesses know you have to go through fire to dispute an error or bad merchandise. Unfortunately, the government is in on it with the banks to coup de gras brick and mortar businesses -/ so you can't shop in person due to scant brick and mortar businesses and if so — limited inventory — so it's suck it up and good luck. Was on the phone for over half an hour on an attempted dispute with overseas Tiara — asked to speak to a supervisor, but she said I needed to write a letter to PO Box ******* Wilmington DE *******, so the hassles continue as intended — $242.54 $#*! Sporting Goods and $152.15 Williams Sonoma — have not received the last item at all because, apparently, you cannot cancel an order, even if within a day of the order and they're not delivering said order for two weeks. This is infuriating. You're better off not buying anything on line. Seriously -/ Williams Sonoma has high prices and awful customer service, so just don't shop there.

The reason I stopped getting my Rx filled at CVS is that they shortchanged my prescription and when I complained (which took persistence) they sent a corporate bean counter who couldn't count to deal with it — what was going on? I have my suspicions the rest of the RX went into personal use — I got 16 pills instead of 32 and it was a noticeable difference. When I went to refill, CVS said they had given me the full amount, but the RX bottle said 16.
Tip for consumers:
Count your pills
The attendant was very nice as I was calling for someone else however the AARP options for the elderly are truly dreadful — you've got to be on welfare or completely stupid as there's no intellectual stimulation outside of bingo and then there's the "friendship line" uff just awful — The AARP should just say there's nothing because this condescending stuff angers me to no end. So bottom line there's nothing
Tip for consumers:
Don’t bother with AARP

For whatever it's worth I'm sending this to the president on down. It's my God-given voice.
Subject: Retail jobs. What I did to survive
Wrote this about Pottery Barn on Yelp. This is what I'm reduced to. Indeed. That after all my hard work and sacrifice, I should be down to $13.22 an hour part time reduced to the abuse and disrespect to which I was subjected is what I have to thank UCLA. Par for the course that no one listens nor cares how little highly experienced and educated Hispanic women count in overcrowded Southern California. My student debt is a noose around my neck. My UCLA MFA a death sentence.
The one Yelp check mark is for the Williams-Sonoma/Pottery Barn corporate culture of putting profits above employee safety or common sense civility. I was a loyal customer when money was more plentiful so I thought it would be fun try and make ends meet as a part time member of the Pasadena store team. To say that it was stressful it's an understatement it was also humiliating. There are some super hard-working store managers there who cannot be faulted. But one of the managers was a male tyrant who terrified and berated me publicly and put me to process boxes endlessly in their dank basement. I got really super sick, couldn't breathe, had to go to emergency and thought I would die.
And did you know that PB sales personnel are supposed to clean the store with a broom? Think about it. Pottery barn corporate made me feel of no value for who I am as a woman, nor for my hard-earned accomplishments -- my three-language fluency, my long established experience as an accredited professional screenwriter, my UCLA MFA in film and digital media studies 2012, my dedication to a brand I have had on display all over my historic Glendale home. No more.
Pottery Barn is a kind of $#*!ensian cargo ship. My family and I will forever stay away. Caveat emptor. But it is typical of all retail jobs and the only jobs an educated Hispanic woman can get.
