Wonderful service :) thanks HG, seems like people have issues with HG? Always receive a regular first class service. I've always had this company on speed dial on the end of the phone and email as they cannot be helpful enough to please and help customers. Don't be fooled by keyboard warriors who leave bad reviews! Try them for yourselves - don't be fooled defiantly NOT scammers as we visited the store whilst visiting Lincolnshire 4 years ago (saved on postage which is always a bonus)

It's been two weeks since you confirmed that my goods are shipped and more than two months since i ordered them. No tracking number, no goods no nothing. Three weeks, they lied to me that my parcel has been sent. When they finaly arrived i missed 4 x (Lumatek 600w Metal Halide Bulbs) £119.80. And again, we are waiting for something. After half a year, I think the remaining part of the parcel will reach me.

AVOID. Promised same day dispatch, not been done. Will not answer emails or phone calls. Terrible customer service..

HI apologies you didn't receive a good level of service, we ask that you allow up to 24 hours for a reply at busy periods, i looked in to your order and i believe the next day dispatch time was missed so apologies for this, i believe the order was delivered within 72 hours. I have had a gift voucher sent to you for this inconvenience.

I ordered a PC gem row box from these. After that I read the reviews on these websites and I was skeptical. They promised to dispatch the item in 28 days and communication was lacking. I payed through PayPal so when the item was not at my door on the 28th day I disputed my 300£ payment. That day suddenly I had contact and the item got sent 2 days after. Luckily I filmed the opening and the item was damaged with the wrong products inside. I sent this to PayPal. PayPal gave me a refund and this Chris aleman scam artist got all funny in emails being aggressive. I know consumer rights so I sent the item back via PayPal. Then he emails me and has the cheek to say I used the item and its damaged in return with items missing! After requesting hard evidence from him he backed down as he had no leg to stand on... Be warned. Do not order no matter what they try to convince you with its all a CON and I got my mi ey back thank the stars. Go to any other shop this has bad reviews for a reason!

HI mr Tom Field, You have forgotten to mention a few things in your rather exaggerated statement of occurrence, you ordered a custom built grow box from us, there was a small delay due to a busy period however we apologise for the delay and kept and continued to dispatch your order asap. I appreciate we missed our original deadline but this was not a vendetta against you, simply an out of stock item with our suppliers that was required to complete the custom grow box. I don't believe it is fair to make claims of being scam artists, when we have been in communication with you and sent you order to you, although it being 1-2 days late and had an incorrect item, this isn't a scam as you so harshly put, more an error and i apologise for this Error. The item you then disputed decided to start using and then sent back in a very poor state with no original packaging for the main grow box or items included, as stated on our website, items are refundable but must be returned in original unused condition, you admitted to us you through it all away, we didn't provide you with hard evidence tom because you are fully aware of the situation, we are not trying to score points simple abiding by our own terms and conditions, We decided as a matter of time not to pursue the situation as we were going around in circles. Again my i remind you paying and for and receiving an item you orderd is not a con, please refrain from such exaggerated accusations, we serve many hundreds of happy customers a week, i apologise once again your order was delayed and contained an in correct item, we will work hard to hope this doesn't happen again, i wish you all the best in the future.

Yes. I had written a horrible review in behalf of a dear friend and now she regrets it.

I said they stole and that is not true.

Actually my friend received a friendly mail, saying that money was there and that all was in fact good.

I want to warn other customers that one must be a little patient and chill out before exploding.

I understand that this company provides great gear and that it wants to keep on doing it, so just communicate with them and all will be good.

So Chris, please forgive and forget. Be cool.

HI, I think you had better give us a call because this is a totally unacceptable and fabricated statement, you placed the order last week and paid via international bank transfer which takes 5 working days. You are based in germany we are in England. Your funds have not even yet been recieved (you know this because the manager has checked everyday and confirmed this with u) I think you had better give us a call and speak to the manager about this, This is not acceptable Under any circumstances. You have not been ignored at all. Please do make up lies and fabricate false claims. My colleague has also spoke to you this morning haven't they? Due to your actions and behaviour ( which aim hoping is she sort of misunderstanding) we are going to cancel your order, we will not be accepting your order. We will not be supplying you with any goods, When the funds are received in out account they will be returned back to you. And to state we also die very soon? This is a very unprofessional and unacceptable comment and statement You should should be ashamed.

I have used these guys twice now and had no problems at all.

I had to call hg hydro regarding a few things and spoke to a really nice helpful girl i didn't catch her name she was unable to help but assured me her colleague would call back the next day, sure enough Jodie-Anne called back and answered everything i needed to know,

Again i had to call hg hydro recently to track my order as it took slightly longer then expected Jodie-Anne was on it and emailed me tracking id and assured me to call if i had any more issues, it turns out the neighbour had signed for it.

Excellent customer service and quality of service was good my order's were not dispatched the same day but that didn't bother me, it could be something the team could try and improve on but rome wasn't built in a day and Im patient

So after 2 orders i will certainly be using them again in the future. And recommending them where i can their Product range is quality and the prices are unbeatable.

Only just started out in chilli growing (Newbie) have dealt with HG hydroponics twice.
Items came to around £70 mark.on my second delivery one item was missing due to it not being in stock sent an email to company had a reply within hours asking if I wanted to change item for another brand which I did. Item was sent out that Day and was received less than 24 hours later.The woman I was corresponding with was helpful and replied to each email within the hour. I had also asked if they had any free literature on the subject was kindly given 2 magazines (Nice Touch)my personal opinion is I would recommend using HG hydroponics I myself will be using again like the layout of the website and They have a fantastic range of Products with excellent descriptions of each item Explained clearly.

Paid for goods.
HG asked for additional shipping funds which I asked for an invoice which the seller then ceased all contact. I then saw they are scamming others and demanded refund and told them I was aware of their scamming. My emails are now being ignored.
The police are now being involved to recover funds and prosecute if possible.

Good Day, I am the new Manager at HG-Hydroponics and I am very concerned to read about your comments, but i don't believe the statement to be true i have looked in to all orders to australia around the time of this post to. Our live chat is also on until 12am most evenings. Problems can always happen in transport especially with international over seas orders in regards to customs, delayed orders and various other influences out of our control. We are always here to help, and are available online 7 days a week. If you can contact us directly with your contact details and order number etc i can re look in to this matter for you and hopefully we can work together to resolve ay outstanding issues. In regards to us apparently scamming others, it has been brought to my attention that numerous other small companies have been trading under our brand and name and possibly leading customers to believe they are associated with us. This is an ongoing issue that we are dealing with in uk courts and a problem we are taking very seriously, we also have a number of complaints online that appear and have been proved to be left by local competition business's who feel they have been left out of pocket by our business growth online, However as mentioned genuine problems do happen so if you feel there is anything we can help you with or genuine problems that need resolving please immediately contact us. We ship thousands of orders a week to all countries around the world 6 days a week with a 99% success rate but are constantly trying to improve our service at all times.

I think people are confusing these guys with hghydroponics.com, i know this because i made the same mistake, i bought from hg-hydroponics.co.uk, everything arrived within 72 hours and at prices i couldn't match elsewhere, i then orderd month later typing hg hydroponics in to google and orderd from what i thought was the same site, turns out there was a usa based hghydroponics.com (now closed i think) but could be wrong that are basically a website with a huge range of products that don't exists and wont arrive, ive since orderd from hg-hydroponics.co.uk numerous times in store and on line, always been great to be fair to them.

They sent me wrong items worth 400
So they scammed me 800 and refusing to refound

Hello all, if your ordering from them International please don't, or email them for quote BEFORE you place an order.

What happened:

Tried to order from site directly but had problems with check out. Went to live chat place the 2 orders there and I repeatedly asked if postage was included, Phil ( the person i was talking to) said yes multiple times. After both orders where placed I asked him to Bill me ( Paypal) he quickly did and I responded and payed that same min.

3 days or so later I got an email saying that shipping will cost extra 600 Pounds, I quickly went online and to live chat explaining how and why the extra 600 if I have already Paid shipping, he then stated if you read our TOS it states that shipping cost may vary. I understand that but why would you bill me before knowing the exact shipping cost to start with? Then I kindly asked him to please cancel the order I am not willing to pay 600 pounds extra for these items.

He got all defensive and stated that they will not fully refund and that they worked hard and paper work etc to get shipping costs and that they will charge me a cancelation fee. I agreed and asked how much would the fee be? He said he will ask the manager and come back to me. Days pass and no response I email them back asking what happened? Got a email back saying Wed/Thur please contact us if you don't get the refund back. Sat Morning I logged on the site asking about what happened his response was

" it will be processed in the next day or 2, we have customers who are in the same position as you, we cant put you straight to the top.
HG Staff"

In my opinion that made me a bit hesitant that they will refund the amount. After thinking about it I logged on Paypal and made my first ever dispute case. Not even 10 mins after I made that case I got an email from them stating

"Please explain to us why you have opened a paypal dispute when you was advised a refund would be taking place today?

Because of this it now won't be refunded today due to the mountains of paperwork caused and we have 2 weeks to refund the amount "

So you can see from the responses that they are not someone you want to deal with. I have everything logged form emails and chat logs.

At that moment I logged back to paypal and escalated to them knowing that this is my only option at this point. Its more like a challenge for them then customer service.

2 days later I got a dispute ticket from Paypal saying that they reviewed the case and have refunded me fully on both orders ( one was for 283.31 GBP and the other for 585.69 GBP)

I then got a threat email from them.:

Seen as you have completely wasted our time and tried your best to circumvent the fees and charges for wasting our time we will close the disputes and seek payment through the courts for the fees incurred.

You opened 2 x paypal disputes 10 minutes after speaking to a member of staff, your quiet happy to waste our time have us run around weighting and wrapping parcels doing hours of paperwork for you then to decide you are unable to even pay for these costs or shipping completely wasting our time and yours.

On stating there would be a fee for this you have opened paypal disputes to circumvent this, you have left us know option to invoice you outside of paypal and should the fees not be paid within 28 days we will start legal proceedings, i hope you understand we are not a charity or hear for a free service, we are a business.

So there you go this is what happened with these people.

This company has amazing selection.

There is a nice lady called Jodie Ann who has been helpfull on more than 1 occasion.

Seems to be more issues with interlink than HG. Tracking is always useful.

There seems to be a lot of bad reviews for these guys but I've just ordered from them (oct 2012) and they were great, excellent customer service, really helpful response to an enquiry I had, good delivery time and secure packaging. Perhaps the management has changed?

DO NOT ORDER FORM HG HYDROPONICS. THEY HAVE LOTS OF TATICS TO RIP YOU OFF. AND WHEN YOU TRY TO REASON WITH THEM, THEY TELL YOU THAT THEIR LEGAL TEAM WILL BE ON CONTACT WITH YOU. THEY ARE TO WORST

I ordered about 800 euro of stuff from them and after upgrading to spend even more they cancelled and refunded my order because they said the postage calculation was wrong- no further details were added. They did not reply to my emails asking for an explanation and did not refund the additional money I made for an upgrade on dr size. After an abusive email from me I finally got a lengthy reply saying they had barred me from their site etc and would not refund my money for as long as possible because of my behaviour. Then several more emails were exchanged where it became clear that the person emailing prioritised attempting to be rude, and insulting but actually just making it patently obvious why so many people say this site is unprofessional and incompetent. Sadly whoever I was dealing needs a primary education in elementary English grammar- but was English; though had the audacity to imply racism in their comments to me. In summery I wouldn't say they are scammers but most definitely useless and unreliable. I used Progrow in Exeter and well all I can say is when you put the company up against them it's the difference between a sloth and a tiger in terms of stealth and speed.

Another little hydrophonic scam. There's enough reports about them on google. Simply walk away or lose all your money. A lot of the posts about this website on scam-review sites (such as scam warners) are faked from the scammer himself. Be warned.
