Just the worst bank with outdated bureaucracy. I opened account second time and regret again. You make a payment, they block it for weeks and you cant use crdit card. You spend hours on the phone and they cant solve it as they need to CALL 3-way to your other bank (not better - BOA). Just general overall issue of the banks in the USA - they are terrible! Cant wait banks like Revolut grow and take the place of these dinosaurs seating on cash. Never ever again

Just the worst bank with outdated bureaucracy.
I opened account second time and regret again. You make a payment, they block it for weeks and you cant use crdit card. You spend hours on the phone and they cant solve it as they need to CALL 3-way to your other bank (not better - BOA). Just general overall issue of the banks in the USA - they are terrible!
Cant wait banks like Revolut grow and take the place of these dinosaurs seating on cash.

This company originally froze my account due to fraud over a week ago. I told them to just close it and refund my money over a week ago. They are liars. Every time you call, there is a different story or a scripted answer. They are holding my federal funds which is illegal. Time and time again, I have requested my refund. Their deceptive behavior will make good in a lawsuit. Ripping customers off like this is going to come back to haunt you Citibank. Hey, just refund my money.

2 hours, 20 different phone numbers. Citi does not want to hear from you.
I will join the CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against them. I don't want any money, they deserve the scolding.

Poor Service. My requests were consistently unfulfilled. On two occasions, my account was inexplicably blocked without prior notification, leading to dire consequences such as the inability to fulfill rental obligations, necessitating recourse to borrowing from acquaintances to avert potential homelessness.

From the inception of my account with Citi Bank, I encountered persistent difficulties with Zelle transactions, as well as withdrawal and deposit procedures.

Given the considerable distress I have endured as a result of these circumstances, I believe I am entitled to a comprehensive reimbursement to mitigate the damages incurred.

Citi business is the worst bank to do business with. I lost a ton of business just because of their issues.
Now due to the wrong information in the wire transfer, I am struggling to fix it. It looks like it's managed by some cheep management, none of the customer service knows to resolve issues, they keep on switching from customer service to customer service. I will be closing all my accounts with Citi soon.

It took almost THIRTY DAYS to receive my card in the mail. They would not review my application for the limit I was approved for, even though I called the same day I was approved for the card. Do NOT get a Citi card. There is more to this story but their customer service has worn me out. I am tired and frustrated. Hess my warning to not get a CitiBank credit card.

I'm reviewing about Citibank Singapore. Contrary to the impression I got all along, their service is not stellar. Def not in the league of competitors like Amex. Infact, some of Singapore's local banks offer even better customer service. That's saying a lot about Citibank. I am honestly quite exasperated by my experience with them and their customer service that I have a good mind to cancel my credit card very soon. It's just pointless dealing with a bunch of jokers when help is what you need.

Their outsourced customer service is ridiculous and wastes so much of customers' time. A representative named Bety was with me on the phone on 3/6/2023, and it took her 30 minutes to dispute ONE unauthorized charge. That was in addition to the months that I spent dealing with them: they don't even know what "subscription" means. They didn't understand that it was the *same* charge, the same company, and the same date every month. Terrible customer service. Waste of customers' time.

I ordered and paid for an item in April of 2023 and NEVER RECEIVED THE ITEM PAID FOR. I've been asking citibank for weeks now to refund this merchants charge and they have yet to process and credit me back the funds. I've called I've done several chats and they keep telling me they will do this and have yet DONE NOTHING ABOUT MY DISPUTE...I'VE NEVER DEALT WITH A BANK SO FLAT OUT AWFUL! I'd give them a minus 5 if I could.

This company oneher.com must be a scam and citibank HAS BEEN USELESS IN REGARDS TO HELPING GET MY MONIES BACK!!!!!

So out of the blue CITIBANK decided to close my account. No reason, no explanation what so ever. Called customer service and they were unable to tell me the reason for closing the account. Oh yeah, but they did gladly tell me that I have 30 days to get my money out before they officially freeze my account. No Thanks, will bank somewhere else! Other US banks are doing a much better job in customer service and in keeping their clients.

I had an online savings account with Citibank. I attempted to wire transfer funds to the account and the transfer was denied. After dealing with eleven customer support reps and spending 6.5 hours on the phone, my $117,000.00 is being held hostage. I can't wire funds to or from the account and have been prevented from adding another outside financial institution to do so.

Customer Service (I use that term lightly) was of no help and my only option is to have them send me a check to close the account which will take fifteen business days of which I am losing interest.

Tip for consumers:
AVOID online Banking with CITIBANK at all cost.

Prior to receiving the following notice regarding the delay in the availability of my funds from a check that I deposited through the mobile app, I learned that the check CLEARED. Mind you, the payor of this check was a federal govt office.

"The following longer delays will apply (because these deposits may be returned for the reasons indicated):
Amount Being Delayed: $1,069.88
Date Available: November 11,2022
Reason for Delay. We have confidential information indicating the check may not be paid."

If I could give "0" stars, I would.

Not only have I been on the phone most of the day but they keep passing me off to someone else.
They have been very unhelpful even though the card I have does not work. They want to blame this on other merchants not themselves. So that was several long holds.
I realize they dont care but you would think they would at least try.
Will be cutting up my card and not using CITI ever again,

This bank is trash! I was told that I had to wait 2 days until my mobile check was available to me but it wasnt. Then I was told two weeks. I have called and spoke to numerous people and all they do is not help you and hang up in your face. Please save yourself the hassle and bank anywhere else. The best I would say is Arrowhead. They can assist you with any concern you have IMMEDIATELY! Even Chase is a good bank to, but banking with citibank is a waste of your time.

Horrible bank to deal with, stay away from this terrible online service, I could not get my deposited money from this bank, and wasted several weeks and hours of phone calls and emails. I filed complaint with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Better Business Bureau and FDIC. Only then the bank responded to return my money.
I read many reviews on few websites most of the customers had terrible experience with this bank.
They dont answer the phone, often times i had to hold for over hour and then be disconnected, they refuse to call back or follow up.
This bank lures customers by way of opening saving and checking account keep deposit for 3 to 5 months and receive $300 bonus, then you get trapped with poor service.

I wasn't certain about opening the account, but in the end I was surprised by the benefits. It's a quality credit card with great benefits.

Closed my accounts with no explanation and no notification. I had to call THEM to find out they closed my accounts.

I cannot log in to view balances or statement. Cannot access my rewards points. They claim they will send me my funds by check in 30 - 60 days but will not allow me to see how much my funds they are holding ( it's over $80,000)

I opened an account a month ago. Because I had a large amount of money transferred into the account and I withdrew some money to invest. They closed my account and restricted my access. They owe me the remaining balance I still have in the closed account. Said they would send me a check in 60 days. Never explained why it was closed. From the reviews I have read they have lost people's money and some are still waiting for a check several months later. I think they need to be investigated. What kind of bank operates like this?

Received 12 different incorrect statements since October. Combining wrong accounts, leaving accounts out. When asked to fix this, I was told "Can't do that", accounts have to be titled EXACTLY the same. This is BS, accounts can be combined or linked by tax payor ID. The only thing this change has done is Simplify Banking for Citigroup.

Credit card customer for 20+ years. Reported a $100 charge on my card that I didn't make. They "investigated" and found that someone with a different name, phone number, and email address used my card. "Closed" the investigation and said they were reversing the credit I was given when I reported the fraudulent activity on my card because the company that charged my account provided them with information stating it was a "legit" charge - even though they have definitive proof it was done by someone other than me. Got bounced around to FIVE customer service reps when trying to cancel card and dealt with the RUDEST customer service reps I've ever encountered in my life. This customer just shut down her account and is taking her business elsewhere.

Folks I've been a Citi card customer for a couple of years. I had al my son as authorized user. I called Citi to remove him because his lender Underwritter s closing on a new home purchase requested it. Somehow this citi card is unable to send a rooter via email or any other secure manner indicating he has been removed. I requested a fax and here we are 3 days letter still no fax. Also a letter By regular mail Nothing received yet. Even though I explained this is the only Pending matter to close on home Purchase and absent the letter we pay $3900 extra at closing for it being delayed. What a nightmare This turned into. I requested same from our capital one credit Card and they not o fly sent a secure email But also via docusign. It is evident by the 10 calls I've made to citi over the span of 10 days that they simply Do not care about customer service. In fact the majority of the customer service representatives had a total lack of empathy and care for our Siri ration and an utter disregard to help us. In fact some of them demonstrated complete apathy to our needs. I'm to say the least extremely disappointed that in todays dna and coanderi g the technological Resources this credit card company had they have an utmost Disregard for customer service. I will be cancelling the citi credit cards as they provide zero benefits compare to other companies that do have excelled customer service experiences.

When will the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency ("OCC") put an end to Citibank's despicable thefts of Citibank customer monies, funds and account balances? When will the Fed, the Central Bankers and the alleged government regulators stop stealing from ordinary Americans? How desperate these crooks really are! Citibank literally steals your money, then uses their nonAmerican agents and South Dakota/Texas officials to lie to you, all the while putting your money in Citibank's own pockets. I've had to file a lawsuit to try and get my pitiful funds back from the banking Elite of Citibank who stole it. Shameful. While at a Citibank branch last month, I heard Citibank employees offering cash pay outs and incentives to only nonwhite customers, and when queried while caught in the act, Citibank employees admitted the cash benefits are only offered to nonwhites. Gosh, on top of being thieves, Citibank are racist pigs.

I opened an account with Citi after having my identity stole. I had my disability check from my benefits through my job direct deposited in there a few weeks later. Immediately my Account locked, called fraud and had to wait for this letter with the reference number. After waiting 11 whole days with 0 money. I got it. Thinking this would save all the problems it only got worse. They went into tell me now my account would be closed and within 30-60 days I MAY rwcieve my money back via Check in the mail. No one could help me. I've called every reference online. Sent emails. Left complaints to each agency and nothing. I am a single disabled mother with no income placed home and unable to work due to multiple inquiries due to a domestic situation. I am faced with no money to pay my bills and even facing eviction. Looks as if Citi gets this momma money too. How can this be legal? How can they do this?

There is absolutely no one on the citibank staff willing to help as a matter of fact they train them to hang up on you

I recently applied for CITI American Airlines card I received a call for approval but missed it then to call back. I called back spoke to a customer service rep that stated that she would call me back from the number I provided in which she never called. Then get a email stating I was not approved due to unable to verify. This is horrible after the lady found out that I was an African-American male by speaking to me I never got the call intentionally. My credit score is good and my income as a Chicago Firefighters is good. I will never fly American Airlines again and I will never patronize any CITI Products again

Insufficient Verification in place for customers with no US phone number. I have a checking joint account which has been dormant and for which the bank charges $30/month. I decided to transfer the balance and close the account. Since the first attempt I made multiple calls, spent over 10hrs, was hanged-up on, and was told that I cannot be verified as I do not have an American phone number. I am a Canadian citizen with a Canadian mobile number that all Citibank employees with an exception of one employee from the Fraud Dept. could not reach me. I was told 3 times that the transfer is OK to go through only to get an email that it is on hold and I need to call the bank for verification. So, I called again only to hear that they cannot verify me with my Canadian phone number. I was also told that my September bank charges will be waved but when I logged in, the wire transfer appeared on hold and the account had a negative $30 charge. What is frustrating about this ordeal is the inconsistency process I have been put through. One employee was able to reach me by calling for verification and one was able to use my email for providing a code I had to read back. I have to say that the staff I spoke to was nice; however, based on the outcome I feel that they do not know the process or are poor on problem solving to resolve issues such as mine. I have hard time believing that in current times Citi bank is not serving its customers with international phone numbers who left the country and are at the bank's mercy for verification. Even living by US border with WA State I cannot go to the bank as they do not have any branches there. Based on my experience, I highly suggest not to do business with Citibank as it is not reliable/consistent with customer service information and your interest is not their priority. Escalation to supervisors/managers is futile as well and wasted much of my time as well. If I could give zero stars, I would.
